Winders FAQ

  • Why is my watch winder not moving?

Watch winder does not rotate 24hours a day. It rotates base on your settings divided by 12/24 hours. Thus, fret not if it isn’t moving every time when you look at it.

  • I left my watches in the winder, but the time is not accurate, or it’s not moving.
Always fully wind your watches before placing it into the winder. Only when it’s fully winded, will the watch winder play its part to help you continue with the watch movement.
  • I have fully winded my watch before placing into the winder, however, the time is still not accurate.

Is that particular rotor slot settings correct for your watch? Chances are it could be under-wind, meaning it needs a higher TPD (turns per day), or your watch movement requires a particular movement direction (clockwise/anti-clockwise/bidirection).

  • Everything seems to be working fine, but the date is not.
A watch winder is meant to assist the watch to maintain the daily winding for its movement, but it doesn’t help to keep the date updated.
  • What is the general settings for Watch Winders?

Generally, anything between 650-950 TPD and bi-directional should works for most of the watches.

  • Will the winder’s lights switch off on it’s own?

Unfortunately, there’s no lights sensor. It requires switching it off/on manually via lcd panel/ back switch / remote control.
